Mujaddara with Pomegranate and Swiss Chard

Coming from the Arabic word for “pockmarked,” our version of the Middle-Eastern dish pockmarks basmati rice with green lentils before adding sautéed onion, lemony Swiss chard, pomegranate seeds and fresh parsley to ensure the accuracy of the old Eastern Arab phrase, “a hungry man would be willing to sell his soul for a dish of mujaddara!”
